  Did not return even with my free voucher after my initial visit. Struggled with breastfeeding my daughter. But after my visit I knew I was not going to be getting the help I had paid for. I was told that my daughter was fussy not because she wasn't feeding well but because I wasn't soothing her and then taught the shhh/rocking technique as if I was too ignorant to have already tried this technique. I then had another woman dominate the appt time who was there for a 6 month weight check. And then the top off was listening to the LC converse with her about working mother's babies don't bond well with the mother's and for her not to worry about her child's bonding as a stay at home mother vs. her working sister's child, all while not even bothering to find out or realize I would be returning from maternity leave to work in a few weeks. I as a nurse was appalled at the disregard for other patient's in the room and their work/home life situations. Sure we would all love to be stay at home mothers. It doesn't always work that way and we shouldn't have to listen to how someone thinks our child won't bond well with us because we work. I also decided to not join the facebook/web support once I also had to hear how Betsy does not like the discussions from working mothers about breast feeding dominating the feeds. Was very disrespectful and upsetting. I did not return and will not return. After several weeks we figured out this breast feeding problem on our own and are well bonded despite the fact that I am a working mother. My advice, opinions should be kept to self when patients are paying for medical advice and read the room. You never know the situation of the person sitting there quietly listening to you call her a bad mother because she has to go back to work.

  Absolutely love the BFC! The staff is so friendly and willing to help with whatever they can. Betsy the LC is AMAZING! She is definitely worth the money and drive. She cares for each mama and baby that comes through the door. Thank you for blessing me with the help and encouragement . And thank you for being a blessing.
